New Zealand Insurance Law Association

A number of our staff made the trip down to Wellington for this year’s NZILA Conference at Te Papa.  With a great mix of topics and speakers there was plenty to keep us engaged during the day, including a fascinating look at the impact of the Kaikoura earthquakes on Wellington from the point of view of GNS Science, structural engineers and city resilience. 

Keeping with the “Shaken not Stirred” theme we had a truly James Bond styled President’s Shout, with the Aston Martin outside for good measure, and a conference dinner where everyone could mix and mingle, in style. 

Friday finished up with a legal update from the academics before we went off for our long lunch with a hotly contested quiz.  The true Wellington wind showed up just in time for everyone’s flights out of the city, but it couldn’t ruin the good time had by all.
