Clyde & Co Sydney secondment
/Imogen Allan, one of our Senior Solicitors, recently hopped across the ditch for a two week secondment at the Sydney office of global law firm, Clyde & Co. Imogen assisted the cyber team, gaining experience in cyber incident response and Australia’s notifiable data breach regime. This experience will prove invaluable to Fee Langstone’s developing knowledge in the cyber insurance sector, a market that is becoming increasingly relevant in this age of big data. It has also given the firm a taste of what may be in the works for New Zealand under the Privacy Bill which is currently before the Justice Select Committee. The Bill proposes a notifiable data breach regime for New Zealand. Further, Imogen worked on matters relating to the Royal Commission which is currently looking at potential misconduct in Australia’s banking, superannuation and financial services industry.
