Get to know Tiffany

How long have you been practising law, and how long have you been with Fee Langstone?

I was admitted in 2016 and started off at a property law firm, predominantly doing conveyancing work, before making the leap into civil and commercial litigation which I practised for just under three years.  I joined Fee Langstone in April 2019.

If you weren’t a lawyer, what do you think you’d be doing?

Without a doubt, I’d be a musician and/or musical theatre performer, and in fact I moonlight as just that when time allows.  I’ve been lucky enough to perform at some of Auckland’s major theatres including The Civic and the Bruce Mason Centre, and have been in some ‘theatre bucket list’ shows such as Miss Saigon, The Phantom of the Opera, and Rent.  It’s a wonderful little outlet to have, being able to hop on stage each night and perform as different characters.  My passion for music and theatre stems from the creative satisfaction it brings me, as well as the fact that it significantly helps with building confidence.

What do you think sets Fee Langstone apart from other firms?

The culture, and the people. Everyone is very welcoming, approachable and down to earth.  This creates an environment where it feels comfortable to learn and grow, and where I feel proud to be part of the team.

What makes insurance law different from other areas of practice?

While I’m new to insurance law, I am already seeing the diverse range of work and legal issues arising from each matter I work on.  It’s engaging and challenging work, and a great area for learning and development.

What’s your go-to karaoke song?

Zombie by The Cranberries.  But only after at least one glass of wine!
